How the limits work
Weekly allowances, not locked content
Every plan has the same courses. What changes is how much time and AI help you get each week.
Every course, on every plan
Plans differ only in their weekly limits. No course, lesson or exercise is held back for paying learners.
Learning time
Counted only while a lesson is open, on screen and in use. A lesson left idle for two minutes stops counting. The Free plan includes 3 hours a week.
AI hints
One AI hint is one reply from the assistant about your code. The Free plan includes 15 a week. The written hints in every exercise never count.
Weekly reset
Both allowances reset every Monday at 00:00 UK time. Unused time and hints do not carry over.
FAQ
Questions about plans
What happens when I reach a weekly limit?
Nothing is lost. When your learning time runs out, running code pauses until Monday, and you can still read every lesson. When your AI hints run out, the written hints carry on as normal.
Do I need a card to start?
No. The Free plan needs only an account, and you can browse every course without one.
When can I buy Varnook Plus or Varnook Max?
Paid plans are not on sale yet. Until they are, everyone is on the Free plan, with every course included.
Is the yearly price paid up front?
Yes. A yearly plan is one payment for twelve months, at a lower monthly equivalent than paying monthly. Varnook Plus is £95.88 a year rather than £119.88. Varnook Max is £167.88 a year rather than £203.88.
Is VAT added to the price?
No. Varnook is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged on your invoice. You pay only the price shown, in pounds sterling. We will let customers know if this changes.
