Your task
Connect a subnet Keep the learning VPC. Add aws_subnet.web with vpc_id = aws_vpc.learning.id and cidr_block = "10.0.1.0/24". The plan should add only the subnet.
Learn the concepts References create dependencies A subnet belongs to a VPC. Referencing aws_vpc.learning.id in vpc_id creates an implicit dependency. The simulator resolves the VPC before its subnet and displays the dependency graph in that order.
A subnet needs more than a range The subnet range must fit inside its VPC. Subnets in the same VPC must not overlap. The pilot checks both, but does not model route tables, gateways, IAM or connectivity. Creating a subnet alone does not make a working public network.
When to use depends_on Dependencies should normally come from references. depends_on is for relationships not already expressed by an attribute. This pilot accepts whole-resource references in depends_on, matching Terraform’s syntax.
